Countryside walks for dogs and their owners.
Each walk is tested to provide ample 'off the lead' time, avoiding livestock and difficult stiles where possible, and that it is not too strenuous for the two legged participants.
Most walks are within a 15 mile radius of Chesterfield, though on occasion we will go further, specifically into the Peak District. Walks tend to be 4 to 6 miles long and, with a coffee stop, usually complete within 3 hours.
We meet Wednesday from 9.30 / 9.45 with walks starting around 10am, fortnightly throughout the year.
Members are encouraged to plan and lead walks.
PLEASE NOTE - as of February 2026 membership is still frozen for a further 3 months. (There are currently five prospective members on the waiting list.) The situation will be reviewed in May 2026.
